IUCNレッドリストの絶滅危惧種の定義は，絶滅リスクが高いことではない

　IUCNが絶対だとは思っておりません。彼らとは十分に議論したつもりです。
　私の論点は，絶滅リスクが低いとわかっているものを載せる必要はないという点につきます。E基準だけで判断するならば，E基準優先が他の種を救えないという主張は成り立ちますが，そうは申していません。

　2001年基準を作るときに，IUCNはCRなどのカテゴリーの定義を変えました。それ以前は，絶滅の恐れが逼迫しているなどの表現が先にありましたが，基準を満たすが最初に来るようになりました。

IUCN Red List Ver 2.3 (1994) の定義
CRITICALLY ENDANGERED (CR) - A taxon is Critically Endangered when it is facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild in the immediate future, as defined by any of the criteria (A to E) as described below.

IUCN Red List Ver.3.1 (2001) の定義
CRITICALLY ENDANGERED (CR)
A taxon is Critically Endangered when the best available evidence indicates that it meets any of the criteria A to E for Critically Endangered (see Section V), and it is therefore considered to be facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild.
